How Often Should Your Office Really Be Cleaned?

A quick guide to cleaning frequency for busy workplaces.

← Back to Blog

There's no single right answer — it depends on foot traffic, headcount and the type of work you do. Here's a general guide to help you land on the right schedule.

Daily cleaning

High-traffic offices, reception areas, and shared kitchens usually need attention every day — bins, high-touch surfaces, floors and bathrooms build up grime quickly with regular use.

2–3 times a week

Smaller offices with lower foot traffic can often get away with a clean every second or third day, focusing on desks, common areas and bathrooms.

Weekly

Low-traffic spaces, storage areas or offices with only a handful of staff may only need a thorough clean once a week, topped up with basic tidying in between.

Don't forget the deep clean

Regardless of your regular schedule, a periodic deep clean covering carpets, upholstery and hard-to-reach areas keeps the office looking its best and supports a healthier workplace.

  • Match cleaning frequency to foot traffic, not just office size
  • Reception, kitchens and bathrooms usually need the most attention
  • Book in a deep clean periodically on top of your regular schedule
